Help preserve our land and waters for years to come.
Change begins with education. We aim to facilitate research programs and effectively communicate results and best practices established to improve our waters and environment.
Working together to achieve our common goals will make the best use of our resources and have the longest lasting effect.
Restoring our lands and water to healthy states requires working together. Small changes made by large numbers can make impactful differences.
The Florida Gulf Coast Hope Spot nomination has been approved! The Hope Spot Council at the Mission Blue Sylvia Earle Alliance has declared our waters to be an official "Hope Spot". This has been our first collaborative project and we couldn't have done it without the help from the supporters below.
We will have a weekend full of activities to celebrate this momentous occasion. Get your tickets now to enjoy an elegant evening with Dr. Sylvia Earle and other prominent local speakers making big waves for our oceans at the Fenway Hotel Ballroom in Dunedin!
This is just the beginning! Collaboration with supporting organizations and research institutions will continue to grow. We are fortunate to have a long list of supporters for the Florida Gulf Coast Hope Spot, many of whom are already involved in conservation, restoration, and education activities. Blue-Green Connections will coordinate brainstorming and information sharing sessions and facilitate the implementation of similar activities up and down the Florida Gulf Coast. Many thanks to all of these supporters!
